A Saturday Morning Market took place on 18th May at St James' Parish hall to raise funds for Christian Aid.
As well as refreshments there were books, bric-a-brac, cakes, plants, human fruit machine, origami and a raffle. There were also 3 outside stalls; FairTrade and 2 handicraft stalls one of which was raising money for Families Out Loud which supports families of drug and alcohol users. The outside stalls all seemed pleased with their takings.
It was a lovely event with lots of people enjoying sitting and chatting while drinking tea or coffee and eating delicious cakes.
The Christian Aid stalls raised a fabulous sum of £611!
