St James' Mini Melodies

MINI MELODIES, TODDLER HUB AND MINI CHURCH

Our weekly groups for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are back. Places will be limited and we would strongly recommend registering for 'Mini Melodies', 'Toddler Hub' and Mini Church sessions in advance to avoid disappointment. Please register online for one session per day only.

There is no payment needed to register and donations towards costs can be made on the day. Please remember to cancel your space online if your plans change so that another family can make use of your space.

St James' Mini MelodiesMINI MELODIES – Tuesdays in term time:

Mini Melodies is a lively music group for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Each week, this includes songs, rhymes, movement, dancing and a musical retelling of a Bible story. As well as being designed to support children's development, the sessions are great fun and are based around a new theme every 6 weeks (i.e. food, weather, the jungle).

Mini Melodies is currently taking place in a COVID-safe "Show" format with everyone given a socially distant space to participate. As spaces are limited we strongly advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Mini Melodies takes place at St James Church every Tuesday in term time.

Session 1: 9.30-10.15am Session 2: 10.45-11.30am (both followed by refreshments)

We suggest a voluntary donation of £1 per week with siblings and additional children at 50p.

St James' Toddler HubTODDLER HUB – Wednesdays in term time:

'Toddler Hub' provides COVID-safe activities for you to take part in with our little ones, including socially-distant craft activities, dressing up, junk modelling and games. During the session, there is also a story time and some movement to music.

We have a range of measures in place to help keep everyone safe from coronavirus this includes a cap on the number of people able to attend each session, so please register in advance to avoid disappointment.

Toddler Hub takes place at St James Church every Wednesday in term time.

Session 1: 9.30-10.15am Session 2: 10.45-11.30am (both followed by refreshments)

We suggest a voluntary donation of £1.50 per family.

SUNDAYS:

All Age Services – 1st Sunday of the Month
On the first Sunday of the month we all join together for worship in the Church at 10.45am.

Tea Time ServiceTea Time Services – 2nd and 3rd Sunday of the Month
On the second and third Sunday of the month we have our Tea Time services at 4:30pm, particularly geared up for families with children and young people of all ages.  Tea Time involves around 30 minutes of lively, action-packed worship with a Bible story, and then tea together.  Once a year we have our famous Palm Sunday Tea Time service with real donkeys!

Breakfast ChurchBreakfast Church – 4th Sunday of the Month
On the fourth Sunday of the month, it’s our Breakfast Service in the hall.  We start at 8.45am with a hearty breakfast, including bacon rolls (meat or vegetarian) as well as plenty of healthier options!  This moves into a time of worship including a Bible story, songs talk and a craft.

Seeds, and Seekers – Sunday Mornings during the 10.45 service
Apart from the first Sunday of the month, we have two groups for children on Sunday Mornings – Seeds and Seekers, both of which take pace in the hall from 10.45am.  There is also carpeted area with toys in the Church for babies and younger toddlers to play, whilst supervised by a parent or carer.  We have baby changing facilities and always seek to cater for the needs of children with special needs.


THROUGHOUT THE YEAR:


There are many more activities throughout the year including special Easter and Christmas events, our annual Holiday Club and Light Party for primary aged children, as well as work with our local primary schools.
